Anca Anton is a PR lecturer at the University of Bucharest. She teaches Intercultural Communication and Negotiation, Online PR, Digital writing, Marketing and various Public relations courses. Within the University of Bucharest she was also involved in setting up the institution’s quality assurance system as a member of the QA Office.
Anca Anton is and has been actively engaged in the local community and in the civil society sector as the vice-president of a youth NGO (Asociatia Team Work) and coordinator of a community green project developed in the Bucharest Botanical Garden, for which she won 2 first place national awards in 2012 (the Urban Green Spaces Award and the Civil Society Gala – Environmental Protection Award). She is also a returning jury member for the Public Relations section of the INSPIRED innovation competition in Romania and has developped in 2015 a successful internship programme for communication students.
Anca Anton has extensive project management experience through the implementation of various youth and green projects, but also by coordinating as Partner two projects (on entrepreneurship in the creative industries sector and on the professional development of students) funded by the European Social Fund; she was and is in charge of communication and promotion within several teams implementing ESF grant/strategic projects. She has also been involved in the implementation of the MARPE Erasmus Intensive Programs on „Public Relations: government affairs and lobbying in a European perspective” in 2012, 2013, 2014, developing and managing online collaboration platforms, coordinating the participation of the Romanian students, as well as developing and putting together the online evaluation report for the three IPs.
